Layered Flowers

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop!  This month there are 12 of us highlighting the “Layered Flowers” Technique as shown on page 7 in the Spring/Summer 2011 Idea Book!  This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.  At the bottom you will find a listing of all participants and their blog addresses if you should get lost or want to reference a blog along the way.  Let’s get started!

If you are coming from Sheila Wilkerson's Blog, you are on the right track!  This technique is highlighted with the Sophia paper packet in the Idea Book but you will find variations for its’ use through this hop.

Here I've used our Miracle Level II paper packet (X7133B).

The flower is stamped using the Delight in Everything (D1204) stamp set and Crystal Blue.

The base of the flower is done by second generation stamping to allow the outline stamp to show through.

For my second piece, I chose Endless Friendship (D1354) to create the flower and the corresponding images.

The two darker flowers are stamped directly on the white cardstock.

I used the second generation and third generation technique once again to create my flower petals.

The Pacifica Ink gave my card the aged appearance I was looking for!!

You can pick up these stamp sets and paper by shopping online.  Click here for a direct route to all the great products we have to chose from!!

Now hop on over to Michelle's blog to see what she has in store for you.  Don't forget, if you get lost along the way, you can come right back here to find your place!
