Metal

This week we are creating with metal.  Close To My Heart has a great variety of metal embellishments to add to your projects.  Today I wanted to step out of the scrapbooking box and show you something different you can create from these embellishments.
This fabulous pendent necklace is made from one of our Bookplates Z1147 as the base.  I stamped my initials with Smokey Plum ink on a scrap from the Sonoma (X7143B) paper packet and cut it to fit into the back of the bookplate.  I cut another circle from one of our clear cards and placed it on top of the stamped image before I put it in the bookplate.  For a little extra pizzaz, I added a Filigree Charm (Z1269) to the top and a teardrop jewel from our Heirloom Assortment (Z1635) to the bottom.   I added a pin to the back of the pendent so it can be worn without the chain as an addition to a scarf for some versatility.

I hope I have inspired you to step out of the box and use our products for all kinds of projects.  Be sure to share your creations with us at Heart 2 Heart.

Your necklace is gorgeous! I never would have thought to use a piece of a clear card to protect the inside of the frame. Lovely!
