Over the Rainbow

My card for the week for Card A Day Blog is continuing our theme of St. Patrick's Day cards.  I must admit, I don't think I've ever sent a St. Patrick's Day card so I decided to use the theme to create a "good friend" type card.
This is a fancy fold card that sets spread out for display purposes.
It's pretty cute sitting out on the shelf. I wanted to create the illusion of a rainbow, so I dug through the polka dot paper scraps and came up with enough colors to make a rainbow.  The shamrocks are made from punched hearts with a nice bit of bling in the center.  The shamrock stems are cut from the Close To My Heart Art Philosphy Cricut cartridge and the pot is cut from the Kitchen Essentials Cricut cartridge.
The sentiment sits down inside the last fold of the card.  I had to make a little stopper of paper at the bottom of the fold to keep the sentiment from slipping out.

Go here for a great tutorial on how to make this fancy fold card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you share your St. Patrick's Day cards with us at Card A Day Blog
