This is my favorite paper packet in the Spring/Summer Ideabook....another one runs a close second (I'll share that one with you later this month), but this is really my favorite. Several people were quite surprised to find this fact out....the paper is very pastely and not really my style....but I could see such potential with it, I couldn't wait to create something!!
So the very first thing I had to do was tone down the pastelness of the paper....nothing a good distressing can't cure! Everything is distressed with two colors for an added aging effect. I fussy cut the balloons out of a piece of the paper then mounted them to a thin piece of cardboard for a bit more stability when they were pop-dotted on the page. The swirls were cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. Everything you see on the layout is from the paper packet with the exception of the flowers, cardboard base and pearls.
I will probably have to buy more of this paper since it is so stinkin' cool....I've got a card and another home decor project brewing in my mind right now that I want to use the paper with, so stay tuned for more creations.
Now hop on over the Judy Faye's blog and see what she has created for you.
Check out my website for a look at the entire paper packet.
