Even Easier

Welcome to this month's blog hop.  We are featuring the "Even Easier" technique as shown on page 91 of the Spring/Summer 2012 ideabook.  If you are coming from Shirley's blog you are on the right track!

Even easier - what could be better, right.  This is accomplished by two super simple steps using our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and a stampset.  With a ideabook stuffed full of stamp sets made to coordinate with the 700 images available on the cartridge, all you have to do is pick your design, cut then stamp - how easy is that!!
For my layout I first began creating with our new Super Hero paper packet (X7152B).  The colors of the paper worked perfectly with my pictures and since it is all double sided I could choose pieces that had no "hero" images to use.  My next piece to use was our new stamp set Family Love (D1506).  I wanted a sentimental/crazy saying for my family photo and this worked great. I then cut my tag from the cartridge twice - once for the saying, then again for the blue mat (I added 1/4" to my measurement for the mat).  Sooo much easier than trying to cut this with scissors and get it nice and even!!

On a final note, I added two more images cut from the cricut cartridge to my layout.  The blue stamp behind the saying and the tap for my hidden journaling.  Even though the image I used wasn't made exactly for the stamp cut, it fit perfectly in the end!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to create "Even Easier".  Now hop on over to Wendy's blog and see what she has in store for you.

Be sure to share with us your creation over on our Technique Challenge Blog for a chance to win a really great prize!!

Family Love looks awesome with Superhero- good to know. You really think outside the box, and it works beautifully, Debi.

I love how you turned a action packed set of papers in to a great family layout. Def. expands the ideas of what could be done with that paper.
