Welcome to May's technique blog hop. This month we are featuring fabric on our projects. Be sure to stop by all our designers posts to see what they have created. Should you be joining me from Joy's blog then you are on the right track! If you get lost or would like to refer back to a specific post you will find a list of designers at the bottom of my post.
For my project I really wanted to do something unique with the fabric. I really like this black piece from the For Always collection and wanted to showcase it. I was really stumped for a bit, but then got inspired by a card I pinned to create this wall hanging for my daughter's wedding portrait. You're going to have to use you imagination a bit here, because obviously this is not my daughter in the photo, but a representation of her. This is again a sample for my photographer, as her dress I am making will be similar to Zelda's. I will probably go back and add some additional flowers and filler from her bouquet afterwards - once she's picked them, but for now these are similar to some of the flowers she will be carrying. The lilies are made from crepe paper since I couldn't get silk ones small enough and the cherry blossoms are purchased.
I started out intending to put a title on the piece - something like "The Princess" but then changed my mind....what do you think? Leave a comment with your vote and any suggestions please!
Now, hop on over to Tabbi's blog to see what she has created!

Love it!! Love the colors how good they look together! The dress will be gorgeous!
Amazing as always, Debi! Your artwork ROCKS!
I think a title would take away from the beauty of that. I also think the dress will be gorgeous, and adding flowers from her bouquet is a great idea. Love what you did with the fabric in this.
I;m with tabbi, no title! Love this- gorgeous.
