Hello again and welcome back for another Mother's Day card creation for Card A Day blog. We are continuing the Mother's Day theme for the rest of this week, so check the blog daily for more inspiration.
My card for today is created with one of my favorite collections from the Spring/Summer Close To My Heart Ideabook called Skylark (click here to see the entire collection). I like the paper, the embellishments and stamps. I also chose to do a bit of a fancy fold for my card.
It looks pretty cool sitting up and folds up neatly to fit into a standard size envelope.
Here is a cutting diagram for the card base that I found on Sharon Graham's blog via Pinterest. I cut the patterned paper about 1/4" smaller than the base piece to create some matting. The birdcage is a piece from the collection's embellishments and the little bird I fussy cut from a scrap of the paper.
Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to share your card creations on Card A Day blog for a chance to win great prizes. You've still got a few days left in April to post your themed card!
