Heartfelt Sentiments Paper Focus - Scaredy Cat

Welcome to another month of our paper focus blog hop.  If you are coming from Melissa D's blog then you are definitely on the right track!  Scaredy Cat is the paper we are creating from this month, and although it is most certainly a Halloween themed paper packet, I thought I'd create a project that could be for any occasion, with just a slight Halloween reference.
My cute invitation is created completely from the Scaredy Cat paper packet with the addition of some Black Sparkles, Rosewood Mini Medley Accents and the new striped Twill ribbon.  The sentiment is cut from the piece in the packet that is a collage of Halloween sayings and images.  If you replace the sentiment with a typed one this invite could be used for any occasion.
Creating the pinwheel focal piece is  really quite easy.

Start out with 8 squares (4 each of two colors) that measure 1 1/4" square and 2 base pieces that measure 2 5/8" square
Begin by putting your two base pieces together as shown.
Start your first small square by placing it on the base as shown.  On this first piece only you will want to only tape the right side of the square
Continue adding your squares around the base alternating patterns.

When you get to the last piece, lift up the left corner of the first piece you added (untaped side) and tuck your last square underneath it.
Add a bit of adhesive to the untaped side of your first piece (I used a small glue dot) and you are done!
See how easy this is - but it looks like you spent some time slicing and piecing it together!

Now, hop on over to Sheila's blog to see what fabulous project she has created for you!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Love the card but love the tute even more! I had to recreate it myself. LOL I must not be as neat as you because I had to add a brad in the center. But, I like it that way!
