Show Your Love

Welcome to a special edition of the Heartfelt Sentiments Team blog hop.  Today we are featuring projects made just for your valentine!  If you are coming from Melissa's blog then you are on the right path!!  Be sure to check out all the designers blogs to get some great inspiration.

Last weekend I joined a group of fellow consultants at our team meeting....always loads of fun, and this day was no exception.  At one point in the meeting we were challenged to create a project with only 2 Picture My Life Cards and what ever bling/accessories we had available - in a 10 minute time period!  Oh my, it takes me at least 10 minutes just to come up with a base idea (card, layout, etc) let alone put it together.
What a challenge this was!

I created this layout with 2 of these cards from the Heartstrings Picture My Life Kit.

I trimmed the "A few of the details" journaling spot from one of the cards that I had already cut in half.  The bottom half of the card I used for the pocket to hold more journaling strips or memorabilia.  The banners and date section were trimmed from my second PML card.  I added a sticker from the Heartstrings Compliment pack on top of my pocket and a few red enamel hearts sprinkled around.  I chose to use the black base page from the Paper Fundamentals Basic Assortment because it has that great embossed image and it gave the layout a little pizzazz since there is not much on it. Not bad for 10 minutes!  (I have to admit, I did bring this layout home later and added some mats for the photo and sticker-so not quite 10 minutes).
Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you are inspired to try this challenge.  Now hop on over to Judy Faye's blog and be inspired by her creativity!!

Love

Here I am back with another Valentine Card for you.  To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day.  Too many broken hearts and disappointments for my liking.  You would never believe that from my Pinterest board.....seems I pinned a plethora of Valentine inspirations....they are all just so cute!

Today's card is pretty much lifted from one of the many cards I pinned.  It is so simple, but it really caught my eye.  The hearts are cut from a book in my stash - this step took a bit as I pulled out one book and started skimming for a good spot to cut and decided I needed to read the entire thing before cutting it up, so I had to find another book less interesting to use!  The flowers, swirls and wording are stamped with some long since retired Close To My Heart sets and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers (it was good to be coloring again).

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to share your Valentine creations with us at Card A Day Blog.

Be Mine

I'm thrilled to be back to work sharing cards with you at Card A Day Blog.  Today I'm continuing our theme of Valentines.

Today's card is made with bits and pieces left over from my 2014 Calendar featuring the Graphic 45 Places in Time collection.  I decided to create the 8 X 8 calendar and it comes with oodles of images that are perfect for card making also.  There are pieces from February as well as June on my card.  Thanks for stopping by today - don't forget to share your Valentine Cards with us!
