Get Well

Here I am back with another card created for Card a Day Blog.  Today's theme is Get Well.

I saw a card similar to this recently with a real dog on it and thought it was too stinking cute so I had to recreate it.  The first step was to find a cute dog for it....I have hundreds of stamps and if you can imagine, not one of them had a dog on it.  Off to the internet I went in search of a digi stamp to color and I found this little dog that was perfect from Pink Cat Studio.  Isn't he just adorable?  I colored him up with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The alphabet stamps are provided by Close To My Heart (check them out here) as well as the cardstock base and background.  The tiny patterned paper is from the scraps - can't begin to guess who provided it.

Here I am back with another Valentine Card for you.  To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day.  Too many broken hearts and disappointments for my liking.  You would never believe that from my Pinterest board.....seems I pinned a plethora of Valentine inspirations....they are all just so cute!

Today's card is pretty much lifted from one of the many cards I pinned.  It is so simple, but it really caught my eye.  The hearts are cut from a book in my stash - this step took a bit as I pulled out one book and started skimming for a good spot to cut and decided I needed to read the entire thing before cutting it up, so I had to find another book less interesting to use!  The flowers, swirls and wording are stamped with some long since retired Close To My Heart sets and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers (it was good to be coloring again).

Card a Day Blog - Monochromatic

Here I am back to share another card with you for the Card a Day blog.  Today our theme is monochromatic.  Since browns are my favorite card making color, this was a snap for me to create.

My card was inspired from a creation I pinned by Jennifer Roach...search for her on Pinterest if you'd like to see more of her designs...pretty awesome stuff!

A good deal of the products on this card are scraps but they worked out quite well together.....don't you just love this balloon stamp?  I've been dieing to use it, and this was a perfect opportunity to do so!  The image is stamped with brown Memento ink, then highlighted with my Spectrum Noir Pens (GB8, GB1, TN1 and EB1)
